Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC (born on March 4, 1954) is a Canadian-American actress and comedian. O'Hara has won a number prizes which include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award) and two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In the year 2018, she was appointed an Officer of Canada and in 2020, she received the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement award. O'Hara became famous as an actress as a member in 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Along with John Candy, O'Hara was part of the main cast of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara as well as Candy began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy series (1976-1984). O'Hara won the Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. O'Hara was a member of the new Second City artistic Advisory Board and was led by Stephen Colbert.
